Jesus is Better than Santa

Santa lives at the North Pole.
JESUS is everywhere.
Santa rides in a sleigh
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.
Santa comes but once a year
JESUS is an ever present help.
Santa fills your stockings with goodies
JESUS supplies all your needs.
Santa comes down your chimney uninvited
JESUS stands at your door and knocks... and then enters your heart.
You have to stand in line to see Santa
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.
Santa lets you sit on his lap
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.
Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, What's your name?"
JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.
Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly
JESUS has a heart full of love.
All Santa can offer is HO HO HO
JESUS offers health, help and hope.
Santa says "You better not cry"
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you.
Santa's little helpers make toys
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.
Santa may make you chuckle but
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.
While Santa puts gifts under your tree
JESUS became our gift and died on the tree.
It's obvious there is really no comparison.
We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about.
We need to put Christ back in Christmas.
Jesus is still the reason for the season.

Christmas Caroling

Yesterday was so fun! We went caroling with our church youth group and shared a little of our Christmas cheer with others. It is so amazing to see God touch someone else's heart by using you! One of the women that we sang to was so touched that she began to cry. It was so nice seeing the joy in her heart and the smile on her face! :D We were rejected at one house, and normally I probably would have gotten mad but the Lord's peace came over me(as it has been a lot lately) and I prayed silently for the people living in the house. We also received the chance to pray for another man and his wife. He didn't want us to sing because his wife had just had surgery and said that we had better not, but we did ask to pray for his wife and he allowed it. I was so grateful that we prayed for him and his wife, because even though we didn't get to sing, we still got to spread the love of Jesus Christ through Intercessory Prayer! It's always nice praying for others! There Is Power In Prayer!! I truly believe that, and God has shown me so much about prayer recently and how he works through it in his own time! We not only need to pray for the big things and problems in life, but the Lord also wants us to pray about the everyday things of life! Thank you God for giving me wisdom and showing me new things!!

The other day at school, a man by the name of Jeff Neal came and spoke to the students about running the race of life! I thought it was so awesome that he spoke about God and having him in your life. He talked about True Love Waits and I agree 100%. I could not imagine anything else.

The race is not always won by the most gifted or most talented person. It is usually won by the smartest and most determined person.

People usually lose the race because they are following the wrong crowd and not staying on the path.

Many people follow the crowd without first determining where the crowd is going.

Many people lose their dreams by following the crowd.

Your goals, your dreams, and your future will be lost if you can not say no to the crowd.

Your true friends would never make you lower your goals, your dreams, or your standards.

In any aspect of life if you have to do something for someone to like you, then you don't need them to like you. (They are not really your friend)

God gives us the strength to raise our goals, dreams, and standards.

Make the right choices and decisions that will allow you to become the Champion you were created to be.

I have not blogged in a while so I decided to blog now. Church last night was so awesome! I know, without a doubt, that the Holy Spirit was there! He has shown me so much and I hope to serve him and others. I am on Student Leadership this year and I know that if I am willing, that God will use me! He has blessed my youth group with such willing and inspirational workers and I know we will teach them also as they continue to teach us. I absolutely love our youth staff and they have devoted so much time and effort just to help us grow in the Lord. Thank you guys so much for all that you do. Also, thank you to all the people whose family time is being given up just to help us out. I love you guys! (:

I watched "House Bunny" two nights ago and it made me laugh! I think I was the loudest person in the whole theater. lol ( : Today has been really good and I can't wait for Sunday! Brian Fields is our new preacher and I am looking forward to hearing him! He has a beautiful wife, Erin, whom I hear can sing really good! I can't wait to hear her sing! My church family is so awesome! I love them to death! I really enjoy the fellowship that we have and I know God is going to do some pretty amazing things this year! I hope that we will continue to grow closer to the Lord and to one another! Immanuel Baptist Church... The Forever Family Place.

I went and saw the movie "Fireproof" last night and it was so, so good! It made me cry. But it was so worth watching! I absolutely liked it! I am so excited to see that people are still making good movies! It is hard to find a movie with no bad language, nudity, ect. But this movie does not have any of that, and I am so grateful! God Bless those who took part in the making of this movie and continue to bless the movie itself!

This morning, was really good, as I had a feeling it would be! I am so glad for that! There is, of course, more drama at school. I for one am so glad not to be a part of it! Basketball has not even started and so many people are bickering! It is so stupid! There is no point in it all, so I choose to not be engaged in such things! Thank you God for giving me the strength to do so! I love you Lord!

I am just so excited today! I woke up and I started laughing! lol That usually means that my day is going to be good! Laughter is such an amazing thing! I like when you laugh so hard that you cry..it is such a great feeling! I'm hoping that tonight I will be able to go see "Fireproof your marriage." It is from the same makers of "Facing the Giants." I'm sure it is going to be great! I watched "Enchanted" last night and Amy Adams can sing so beautifully! It's not the first time that I have seen it though. It would be just awesome if I got to meet her. If I can't meet her here on earth, then I hope that I will meet her someday in Heaven! Just imagine..if God could make the heavens and the earth in six days, I can't even fathom how amazing and beautiful my home in heaven is going to be because it has been two thousand years! It is all so crazy-amazing to think about!! I am so excited to meet God in Heaven one day!!

SYATP Post Rally was last night and it was really awesome! God is so amazing! I have decided to take a role in our student leadership team! God has shown me so much! I am so thankful for all the awesome people that God has placed in my life! They have all done so much for me and, and I am so grateful! I love you Lord!

SYATP went really good today and Nick did a very good job! I'm about to watch Baby Mama at school so this blog will be short! We need to keep the presidential election in our prayers! I know and have faith that God will allow the right man to become president! Thank you God for all that you have done for me and all that I know you are still waiting to do! I love you Lord!

Today Amber Hood sang "This is me," by Demi Lovato to me. She did really good and has come so far in over coming her fears! I am so proud of her and she is just absolutely sweet! I hope that this year is better for than her previous years! This morning Lindsey Smith and I went to the flag pole and prayed for SYATP tomorrow! There is POWER in prayer! I am looking forward to tomorrow morning and I can not wait to see what God has in store! He moves in Mighty ways and I know that he will be moving in the lives of so many tomorrow!

I played tennis today... lol and O boy am I good! I'm just kidding! I am ok I guess. See You At The Pole is in a few days and Nick Wann will be speaking. I know God will be there and I pray that the students and adults both will be open to the word of God and allow God to touch and change their hearts! I am so excited to see God already working and moving in the lives of so many people that I know! God is amazing and he NEVER fails me!!

Today has been a very interesting day. Of course in high school, there is a ton of drama, but there is also a decision that you can make to not be a part of it! Anyways.. I just don't care to be in the midst of it! Well.. last night at the Wilson's house was such a blast! I always love to fellowship with the people in my church family! I love them to death! They are so precious to me!! I am so excited about See You At The Pole on the 24th! It is going to be great! I know God is going to bless those who are faithful and follow him! He is going to touch the lives of so many people and I can not wait to be a part of it! I love you Lord! Thank you for blessing me the way you do!!

Today was our first meeting at church for Student Leadership, and it went pretty well. I pray that God will make it clear to me whether or not this is what I am supposed to be doing! I know he has so many wonderful things instore for my youth group and I can't wait until everyone starts grabbing a hold of it! I hope as a group, that our youth will have a major impact on our church, our schools, and our communities! God will reward us for our faithfulness! I am so glad that God is faithful!! Today was the See You At The Pole Pre-rally!! It was soo awesome! Pottersfield did awesome and Rapid Fire was amazimg!! Mandy Thomas did really good especially on "Potter's Hand!" I went to Lindsay's party and it was great too! I hadn't played volleyball in a while! Well I need to have my quiet time and take a shower to get ready for church tommorow! Good night! (: I love you Lord and thank you soo much for everything!!

Today I didn't have school due to parent/teacher conferences. yay I was glad! I went to watch Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants II and it was really good! It's so sweet! I really, really liked it! I could see it again! Well I'm guna go so I can have my quiet time! (: Vote for John McCain.

Today in FCS, Brian Smith spoke and shared and did a great job! He did encouraged the students and shared with them how to accept God and use his word to guide their lives! Not to mention that the food in FCS was great! God has shown me so much lately and it all ties together! He works in such amazing ways! God has answered so many of my prayers and he shows me everyday WITHOUT fail how amazing he truly is!!

Tony Naylor thinks it is conceited to have a blogger, so I am posting something all about him!! He made a girl at school mad today and she got in his face so he took off running and almost flew!! haha He about cried when she confronted him about it and the whole class got a kick out of it! lol I laughed because how fast he got up!! He said he didn't care about it, but he really does! Tony is pretty funny but at times he may take things a LITTLE too far!! One day he will understand and none of it will matter but as of right now he still likes to initiate things so basically he probably gets yelled at more often than anyone else in the class! Well..this post is for Tony!! Here you go and it is not conceited in the least bit of ways! (: lol

Again..I am at school and today has been pretty good! I am looking forward to church tonight! Sabrina is in the ER in Ft. Smith so I have been praying for her! I hope she is ok! I can't call her at school but I talked to her mom before school! I am a little worried but I know God will take care of her! He is the ultimate Healer! I love God so much and am excited about what this year may bring! Well I'm guessing my teacher don't mind me being on here or she just doesn't notice! lol o well she has not started class yet. Accounting yay ( : I am just so thrilled! jk but I am excited about tonight at church! It is always fun and I get to know more about my awesome GOD!!

I am at school again and we have nothing to do until the bell rings so I'm posting another blog. I'm still trying to witness to people about God and his amazing grace! He is so faithful! I love him!
